Subject: Important New Updates for Security on Zoom
Dear Colleagues:
Today, Zoom enhanced its platform to provide additional security and privacy measures. As a result, we have updated UCLA’s guidance for all faculty and staff members who are hosting classes or meetings on Zoom.
Please note that some portions of these instructions are different from those we provided in our April 2 message. We are advising all meeting hosts to visit the newly revised Zoom Security Settings for UCLA website today, and to use this new guidance prior to conducting any further Zoom classes or meetings.
If you have questions about how to implement these measures, please contact your unit’s local IT staff for support or contact the IT Support Center at 310-267-4357, help@it.ucla.edu or via the IT Support Center website.
We remain grateful for your collaboration and understanding as we work to provide the best possible remote learning environment for all members of the UCLA campus community.
Sincerely,
Michael J. Beck
Administrative Vice Chancellor
